The links include File sharing software, Software, Price comparison websites, Miscellaneous, & Humour.

If you've found the rest of this site mind numbing (like Matt Webster appears to have) then check some of the links below and in Music, hopefully theres something there for you! I have included links to humor sites, and sofware sites!

[A bit sucky, as Matt would put it, since I moved the music stuff out!]

Price Comparison Websites

These are sites for those who shop on the web. Go into all of these and ask them to find the best prices for what you want. In DOORS the Sunday Times internet guide these sites were tested here are what they found:

Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire (bet you all got a copy for Christmas): Cheapest £6.99 @ Blackwell.co.uk found by Kelkoo, Dearest £32.88 @ Amazon.de found by DealTime. Saving = £25.89!!!
Beatles 1
: Cheapest £8.99 @ cdwow.com found by Checkaprice, Dearest £ 15.79 @ Buecher.de found by DealTime. Saving = £6.80!!!

DOORS found not all these sites search the same places so one may not find the cheapest available whereas another may find the cheapest. SO TRY THEM ALL!!

CheckaPrice * DealTime * Kelkoo * Pricerunner * Shopsmart

I tried them and found them to be annoyingly slow, but I was using them at 2pm on Saturday afternoon so the internet was busy! If you have work to do on the computer at the same time do it, as you could be waiting a while. Tell me if you have any success with them!!!!

Miscellaneous

IQTest How clever are you? I did this test and got a score of 140, that means "Highly gifted and appears to be a genius to others" Thats why I get those looks when they ask what I do at Uni. For another IQTest try MyGolf!! For comparison Einstein is believed to have had an IQ of 180, average is 100, but the rating is exponential so I'm not half way between the two!
IQ League table

Bananalotto Free lottery where you can win £1,000,000 every day! Plus a daily draw prize, to enter this you need to 'tell a friend' about bananalotto.com!

TheDailyDraw Haven't tried this one but looks like similar to Bananalotto.com! Win £1million!!

Satire

Private Eye (UK) Law suits may follow what I say so I won't. Except I haven't been here yet!

Onion (US) "a bit ... sophisticated. Sometimes hits the mark, sometimes misses completely." (Matt Webster - Sucky links)

Untitled Document "www.untitleddocument.co.uk is a favourite of mine!  It's like a British version of The Onion."  © Matt Webster via email

Spectator (UK) ?

Th Daily Bull (US) Looks good, haven't been through it enough, yet.

I-Mockery (US) Not sure if this a Satire site or not! It does seem to be a bit dark in taste.

Any more you know of let me know ?

[The onion link is the only one I have nicked off Matt, sorry Matt]

Mark 'n' Lard Songbook You've heard "Nancy Boy" by Placebo (!?) well now hear and read the lyrics to the song that inspired Placebo, the one and only "Lardy Boy" by Gazebo, or one of my favourites "Ballard of Franny Lee" (remember him - ex-player, then Chairman during the strange years where Manchester City went from Premiership outfit down to Second Division misfit in a couple of years, then back to the top flight... yoyo is not the word, this song is writen from the desperate days of the second division when they could only just attract 20,000 fans to home games, any second division fan will know how desperate that situation would be!)

Monty Python Shop Monty Python site, haven't spent enough time on here yet to find out about it!

DeathClock Very wierd / sadistic site !!! Not For Kids! Put your date of birth in, then choose if you want the "Normal", "Pessimistic", "Sadistic", or "Optomistic" prediciton of your date of death. The guy who came up with this must be very twisted. I've put a link here for those who are curious, but don't take the predictions as meaning anything (With my relatives sadistic predictions I couldn't have been born!)
Or another take on this site is that it shows how precious the time is that we are alive! Which I fuller agree with, this site just doesn't put that across to me though. It could be done in a more positive way. {
{Laurence this link was up before you mentioned this site - Honest. I have only editted the last part - 22/11/01}}

Boring but informative and possibly useful!

OCMUK - Online Call Manager UK Are you always getting told that someone in the house has missed an important phone call because you've been on the internet or checking your email, well get this bit of software and you, or fellow house mates or family, never need miss a call again! You must be signed up to BT's call-waiting service at £3.99 a quarter to benifit. You can then divert incoming calls to mainline or mobile phone, or ask them to leave a message, or tell them to ring back, or tell them you'll ring back. The software shows the phone number of the incoming call and allows you to hear when a call is coming in with a ring like a normal phone. Check out the demo to see how it'll work. (An Apple Mac version has been promised so keep a look out)

InternetBanking May not have expected me to have a link to a list of internet banks, but what I'm planning to do (may already have done when you read this) is to open an Internet savings account, or similar high interest (6.5%+ Gross) account on the net. This way the money isn't just sitting around building up 1p interest, and I'll earn more interest than is building up in the Student Loan Co (Hopefully).

I better also link to freeserve who are my internet service provider. In time I may have a ISP info page where you, hopefully, can find out about the unlimited time internet access ISP's.
