Political Satire

SPINON This is a great site. The first time I went here the headline was
"SKY sports are in line for a multimilion pound bid for the Prescott rematch!"

Am I Electable or Not ? Vote for your favourite cabinet, or ask people to vote for you! Will Homer Simpson be PM on 7th June?

Find out what the political parties say about Higher Education and Student Finance at their websites

People died so we could have the democratic right to vote for the leaders of our country, so you have a duty to vote in the election.
IF YOU DON'T VOTE, YOU DON'T HAVE A RIGHT TO COMPLAIN !!

VOTE BY POST : For those who are to embaraced to be seen in a polling booth, now theres no excuse. Unless you'd be happier in a dictatorship, than a democratic society

Labour - No top-up Tuition fees in the next parliament! No matches to tuition fee search on this site. They wouldn't scrap fees, but they're starting to help the nation as a hole after the Tories up-down period of power. I hate the way every policy is looked at in Labour form versus Tory form on the website. But things are starting to happen, record low unemployment for 25 years, stable economy, very low inflation,...

LibDems - The party for students, and the only one out of the BIG THREE that are talking any sense. Income Tax has to increase for the more well off to pay for things that count for the majority, Schools, Education, Health, Crime!
Policies include
SCRAP TUITION FEES, REPLACE LOANS WITH A FAIR SYSTEM (that sounds like a loan with a higher threshold repayment limit, and lower rate!)!!!! You can download the policy statements about the area your interested in here is Students and Higher Education, and Science.

Scrap Tuition Fees LibDems campaign website. Even if you don't support the party, please support the campaign!

Tories - Bandwagon Bill's website. If there are any accountancy students out there the tories could do with help. Take tax down, take up spending, (very popular moves) only way to level out funds would be to borrow, or to waste away Government 'war chest'. Doohhhh!!!! Can't see them wanting to do either. So they must cut spending in areas that the majority of the population wouldn't notice, they'd notice cuts in NHS, education, police, but if cuts are made affecting only a sector of society that Tories think they could do it to, and students, and O.A.Ps would be some of them!! Please use your mind and use your vote, DON'T vote for these!!!

"£1.3 billion taken out of public provision for universities, which will mean a rocketing tuition fee for any student. They have no way of paying for that policy and that is yet another reason why people will not vote for them at the election." (Quote of Prime Minister Tony Blair in PMQ 7/2/01 about student finance under aTory governement responding to a question by Mrs Anne Campbell MP (Cambridge))

Student & Universities finance is not the only policy I don't support the Tories on. They also believe in making people have a part private, part public health service.

Plaid Cymru The Welsh National Party, wants more powers for Welsh "Parliament" instead of (in my view) the Mickey Mouse {"What there's a North part of Wales? I thought there was only Cardiff, Swansea and the Valleys"} Assembly we have now. If you sort out the mess devolution in Wales is in then thank you, but I haven't heard enough of your policies to get my vote.

Green Well they want more issues to do with the environment dealt with.

SNP Scotish Nationa Party

Raving Loonies Good on 'em.

British Politics Page Not official site that provides information on contacting your MP, aswell as the President of the United States e-mail address.

Scottish Parliament The website of the recently devolved parliament.

National Assembly for Wales The website of the Assembly for Wales. Doesn't have the power of the Scottish parliament. Its a joke of a political institution... get yourself together London give Wales something with bite of keep the power make you mind up! Also CARDIFF and London there are people in Wales that do NOT live in Cardiff and Swansea. Come as a bit of a shock? Well fuckin' do something for us up North too, or give us in North Wales, or Flintshire, or Deeside, power of our own !!! Forget the assembly building and its costs, that money and assembly time could go on something important to those that in hindsight foolishly voted "YES" on the referendum, and voted you lot in !

Northern Ireland Assembly The website of the Assembly of Northern Ireland. I suspect the Northern Irish people feel like us Welsh do about our assemble, but at least your thing does something!

I appear anti-Tory here because lets face it £16 billion cuts in Public Spending WILL hit someone, and as it says on Brownhill Hill billboard this could be Schools, and that means all education, aswell as Health, Transport, Student Finance,...

Please USE YOUR VOTE, it may seem pointless for one vote in millions, but if its the wrong party (from your point of view) that gets into your constituency MP's seat then it may have been by 1 vote. YOURS! If you are eligible and don't vote, you don't have the right to complain about the government (that's my view!).

Send Your Suggestions!!
