Search Engines and Information Gateways
Do you need help? Are you lost? Search engines are important to our use of the internet and you must find one that suits you. Don't just believe there's Yahoo, Alta Vista, or one of the other well known ones, there are others including the MetaSearch engines. So try the following!
First I include information gateways that you will find useful. They are gateways to information of interest to specific areas. Try them all to find the most useful for you!

Pinakes - A Subject Launchpad This is the site linked to via the banner at the top of this page. It has all the gateways listed, and linked to, with a brief discription of their subjects. THIS IS WORTH BOOKMARKING!
I will use the gateways in Pinakes but only the ones for physical sciences, and those that cover all subjects!
