Chester City F.C. "The fans favourite" The greatest Conference team from Cheshire! (Un-official site)

ChesterCity.com This site's author is the author of the old official site, aswell as being the ex-official matchday programme editor. Nothing much on here yet, looks promising thou'.

Seals This is a good site, has some goals on there from the last few seasons!

Chester-City.TV Yes, the author of seals is trying to bring us (for a small fee) a chester city video site, where we can view all Chester's goals. Keep an eye on this site, and seals, for more! {But it appears to have gone pairshaped in the last few months. - 23/05/2001}

Chester Supporters Trust I believe these are trying to get money together to buy, and save, the club from future obscurity out of the conference. Thats what Dictator Smith will do to the club if he carries on.

My Predictions for the coming seasons

I did write these on here in February 2001, but as the site wasn't up and running untill after Liverpool lifted the Worthington Cup in Cardiff then I will take them to be made after March 2001!!

LAST season

+ Tough test for Liverpool tonight at Anfield against the might of Barçalona. Liverpool to scrap it 2-1, not a confortable match for us fans. [19/04/2001 - Liverpool MUST win, if they draw then Barça go through]

Liverpool won 1-0 on the night (1-0 agg), so will face Aleves (Spain) in the UEFA Cup final in Dortmund.

+ MANCHESTER UNITED TO BE KNOCKED OUT OF EUROPE TONIGHT! COME ON B.MUNICH, DO IT FOR ENGLAND!
Ferguson to moan about the referee (almost certain), and ITV comentators to almost cry after the defeat (not saying their biased, me say that they are biased NO). [
18/04/2001 - Man Utd have to win by one goal away in the Olympic Stadium tonight to get into the semi-Finals of the European Cup, only Norwich City from England have won there, EVER, 07/09/2001 - NOW LIVERPOOL HAVE DONE IT AND BEATEN THE GERMANS, BUT ON FRENCH SOIL - LIVERPOOL v B.MUNICH EUFA SUPER CUP 2001]

B.Munich won 2-1 on the night and 3-1 on aggregate. ManUtd are out of Europe! And Alex Ferguson moaned about the ref at half time on ITV, who couldn't stop talking about the '99 final when the Manc's won in the last minute.

+ Fulham will win the Premiership within their first 5 seasons, and will start to give Man Utd a fight.

Fulham are up. Next season we will see if my tip looks likely. (First day play Man Utd and give the Champs a fright going 1-0 up, then 2-1 up, eventually losing 3-2)

+ Liverpool will continue to build a Championship challenging squad but will just lack consistancy in the next couple of seasons, and they will win a Major trophy (EUFA Cup, FA Cup, Worthington Cup) in the next couple of seasons.

Worthington Cup won, F.A. Cup won (v Arsenal), EUFA Cup won (v Alaves), Charity Shield won (v Man Utd), EUFA Super Cup won (v B Munich)

-/+ Everton to get relegated, not this season but within 2 years. Tranmere will beat them in the FA Cup ! Come on Tranmere [again pre-publication prediction Tranmere won 3-0, drew Liverpool 2 rounds later and lost 4-2, Aldridge resigned within 2 weeks due to league position!]!

5 pnts from safety after Liverpool's decerved 3-2 thrashing of them at Goodison Park! Tranmere look doomed, aii doomed (18/04/2001)
TRANMERE DOWN INTO DIVISION 2!! UNLUCKY TRANMERE, BUT GETTING BACK UP WON'T BE THAT EASY. BUT YOU CAN STILL BEAT NottS County (can't they Ian?).

-/+ The Italian joke that is Chelsea's manager will lose his job after they are floundering below half way in the table (2000/01). Whether Chelsea move back up the table depends on the next manager, could be the next Newcastle Utd.

OK this one isn't going as planned. Chelsea are in the fight for third spot.

-/+ Arsenal to drop down to a midtable team in the near future as Wenger struggles to rebuild his defence after the back four (Adams, Seaman, Dixon, Keown) retires.

Not sure yet on this one. They havent gone yet, althou' the Euro dream has for this season. UPDATE : they probably aren't going to drop down as they have got Sol Campbell from rivals Spurs!

- Injury through to many games will rule out one of the England Youngsters (Gerrard, Owen, Dyer,...) for a long period, 6 months plus.

+ Chester to gain promotion to the League after two seasons of the two up - two down style demomtion-promotion between League and Conference. Shrewsbury, Halifax and Carlisle to be dropping out of the League.

Not sure again on this one. Chester are in crisis, the chairman has resigned from the board, BUT his Dad and 'friend' have got shares. The fans want Mr Terry Smith (USA), Chairman (I believe), to go, and players are apparently not happy. Chester were the only conference or third division team to not attend the meeting to propose the two-up-two-down scheme. Some sectors of the press are barred from games at Chester's ground the Deva Stadium. Mr Smith is an ex-American Football player in the NFL, if any American stumbles across this let me know if you've heard of Mr Terry Smith, he moved over here to coach the Manchester American Football team.
Regarding the relegation issue, it still isn't clear who's going down, but my three tips are still there!
(18/04/2001)
"THIS ISN'T EVEN ORRRRGANISED CHAOS, IT'S MAAYYYHEM!" (As Dr Currie would have put it) Just look at the chester-city.co.uk news board for April [AND MAY] and you'll see the mayhem that is being played out at Chester City Football Club. PLEASE SOMEONE THAT KNOWS FOOTBALL SAVE THE CLUB!! (24/04/2001)

My prediction could be true, Chester going up within 2 seasons of the 2up-2down promotion system, but as that has been thrown out by the league it may be some time until chester are up !!!

My recent predictions haven't come off as I'd hoped. I predicted Man City would be challenging for European spot this season (2000/2001), as they started the season with Weah and Wanchope upfront. But they are fighting relegation, with Weah in Italy again and Wanchope on the transfer list after telling the manager where he could go as he walked off the pitch when substituted earlier in the season. Now Wanchope claims to want to stay at Main Road, I guess he'll be told "You know where you can go!", but don't hold me to that prediction.

+ = Positive movement (goin' up the table), - = Negative movement (down the table), -/+ = depends who you are could be positive or it could be negative!

What do you think of this page, or my predictions? If you think I don't know what I'm doing, or if you think I've got it spot on, then let me know. Send your predictions to me and they may go on the thanks page!! Suggestions, Predictions & Comments!! Do you want more clubs links on here??
